Thanksgiving

Hey Sheila! In the United States we celebrate a holiday called Thanksgiving. Last weekend was Thanksgiving, so I am going to tell you a little bit about it! Originally, the people who came from Europe and settled in America celebrated Thanksgiving to celebrate their safe trip from Europe to America. We continue the celebration today to give thanks for our lives here in America! Do you celebrate anything like Thanksgiving in Spain? Thanksgiving is a very traditional holiday. Each year, families get together and have a feast(eat a lot of food) to celebrate the holiday. Usually, all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents go to my grandparents house to eat dinner and celebrate Thanksgiving. It's always a lot of fun because I get to see all of my family and eat good food. The most famous Thanksgiving food is turkey, which we eat every year on Thanksgiving. Some other typical foods are cranberry's, pumpkin pie, mashed potatos, and green beans. What would be your favorite food on Thanksgiving? My favorite is the pumpkin pie, it's delicious!
